Information for Clinicians

Because ScoliScore™ is a new molecular diagnostic test, most insurance companies have not yet established coverage policies for it. However, many insurers will cover ScoliScore on an individual patient basis until coverage policies are established. At Axial Biotech, Inc. we're committed to enabling any patient, for whom you believe ScoliScore is medically necessary, to have access to our test.

To honor this commitment and alleviate reimbursement process burdens from your practice, Axial Biotech, Inc. has developed SHARP™ (Spinal Health Assistance with Reimbursement Program) to assist you and the families of your patients throughout the entire reimbursement process. We encourage you, your staff, and the families of your ScoliScore patients to contact SHARP. Representatives are available before, during, and after the testing process to answer questions and provide support. One call to 877-SHARP10 (877-742-7710) is a single point of contact for:

Axial Biotech, Inc. will submit all claims to the insurer on your patient's behalf. If a claim is denied, SHARP can manage the appeals process. We may require assistance from you and/or your patients' families as we work through this process. This assistance may include a Letter of Medical Necessity or access to patient records. We will make every effort to simplify these requests. Should there be any balances due because of claims not paid in full, or which are denied, SHARP can help determine what your patient's family's ultimate financial responsibility would be after all available appeals have been exhausted.

Axial Biotech, Inc. has comprehensive financial assistance programs for uninsured and underinsured patients, based on financial eligibility. Please contact us at 877-742-7710 for additional information and to determine eligibility.
